My Background
My background includes over 10 years of banking experience at local financial institutions. Some of the roles I have held over the past few years include those of Branch Manager, Auditor and Financial Advisor.
I hold an M.B.A. (Master of Business Administration) degree from Dalhousie University and am eager to share my financial education and knowledge in order to help you out with your mortgage transaction.
I also write financial articles on a variety of topics for a couple of local newspapers. I believe it is important to educate my present and potential clients and keep them informed about topics that affect their financial situation.

As a Mortgage Consultant I have a relationship with several financial institutions that are competing to get your mortgage business. Working with me will provide you with access to some of the best deals and most innovative mortgage products you can obtain on the mortgage market.
Obtaining the best interest rate is probably one of the most important reasons why you should work with me. I shop the market for the best mortgage rate for you. I usually have access to so-called "wholesale" mortgage rates, that are significantly lower than the posted rates offered by Banks to the general public through their branches. Practically speaking, I have the ability to find the best rate on the market and still place your mortgage with the lender or bank of your choice, which sometimes would not be the case if you walked into a branch and negotiated the rate yourself.
Obtaining the best mortgage product is another major reason why it is beneficial for you to use a Mortgage Consultant. Each financial institution has its line of products and sometimes in order to find the mortgage product that meets your unique needs there is a need to check several banks. As a Mortgage Consultant I am familiar with numerous products offered by financial institutions and will do the search for you.
Access to Non-Traditional Lending
My working relationships is not limited to only major institution such as banks or credit unions (known as "A" lenders), but also with so-called "B", "C" and private lenders. These institutions will very often overlook the standard conditions required by "A" lenders, especially for individuals with a troubled credit history, those who cannot provide standard income confirmation, or have inadequate down payments or similar.
My Services are Free to You
My services are usually paid for by the lending institution where the mortgage is placed through so-called "finder's fees". In other words, my services are free to you. There are cases, however, where the institutions do not pay a finder's fee to the broker, in which case the broker will charge the client directly, however this is typically not the case with "A" lenders, but rather "B","C" and private lenders.
My Schedule is Flexible to Accommodate Your Schedule
As a Mortgage Consultant, you will have continuous access to my services, as I work outside of normal banking hours to accommodate your schedule. I am a mobile professional who can meet with you at the time and place of your choice. My clients are located all over the Greater Toronto Area.
